Cuatro personas entre estas una mujer, creyeron haber cometido el mejor robo del día para finalizar la semana. Asaltaron La Curacao Plaza de Comprasy se llevaron un Televisor pantalla plana. Nunca se imaginaron cuando emprendían la huida y producto del nerviosismo de uno de los presuntos asaltantes que conducía un  vehículo Toyota  con placas de Managua,  que se estrellarían contra otro carro impidiendo continuar su marcha y facilitando la captura de todos los tripulantes.

De inmediato patrulleros policiales y hasta los empleados de la tienda comercial afectada llegaron a reconocer a los supuestos asaltantes que quedaron atrapados como ratas dentro de la jaula. Preliminarmente fueron identificados como  Ramón Hernández García, Maycol Espinoza Gutierrez, Wilfredo Osorio y Xiomara del Carmen barrios Barquero.

Al inspeccionar el vehículo con el que se cometió el robo, además del televisor, la policía encontró otros tipos de productos como una caja de pasta dental y un saco de ropa presumiblemente utilizada para cambiarse y despistar.
